Since 1968, Cabinetry Unlimited has been the Delmarva Peninsula’s trusted cabinet company—serving homeowners, contractors, and commercial clients with a level of service that only comes from doing the work, day in and day out, for over 50 years.
Our Story
From kitchen cabinets to commercial casework, our local cabinet showroom is the region’s largest and most complete. With three buildings in Selbyville, DE and 30+ experienced professionals, we help move your project from design to installation—seamlessly, efficiently, and beautifully.
Cabinetry Unlimited began in a 1,000-square-foot building in Selbyville, fabricating laminate countertops for local homeowners. In 1978, Joe “Doc” Dougherty and Mary Ellen Dougherty took the reins—and over the next 25 years, they transformed the small shop into a leading cabinet dealer and countertop fabricator. The business grew alongside the community—adding commercial services, institutional casework, kitchen cabinet lines, and eventually building the 40,000-square-foot operation we have today.
Now, over 50 years later, we continue to serve the Delmarva Peninsula with the same drive and pride we started with—combining deep design knowledge, in-house production, and real human support for every project we touch.

Founded in 1968 as a local laminate countertop manufacturer, Cabinetry Unlimited has grown into the Delmarva Peninsula’s leading provider of cabinetry and casework.
Over the decades, we’ve expanded our offerings to include solid surface countertops, semi-custom cabinetry from brands like KraftMaid, Waypoint, and Wolf, and our own line of plastic laminate cabinets.
Today, we serve both residential and commercial markets—including top local builders and every Home Depot in the region. With our recent move into the custom closet market, the future looks brighter than ever.
Our 30+ dedicated employees work across three company-owned facilities totaling nearly 40,000 square feet—housing our showroom, manufacturing plant, and cabinet production shop.
